|  A trip out to Wedderwill Wine Estate this week was a welcome distraction from days that dictate to me. Gracious hosts, the Von Loeper family have realised a spectacular dream up in the Helderberg mountains. Their Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect example of how this talented and creative family refuse to conform. Nico Vermeulen, their passionate winemaker has only just released the 2006 vintage, with the 2005 still drinking smoothly with its intoxicating infusion of nettles. I highly recommend this gem.
